Happy Day!
Well today has turned out to be a fine day.
Firstly the nice DHL delivery man bought me my Black Country Mild. Not only that but after another hydrometer test i can confirm that my first brew the Traditional London Bitter has finished fermenting. Now just need it to condition for a week or so then bottle.
It smells delicious and I had a cheeky taste and was suprised how nice it was.
I have well and truly caught the brewing bug!

An Introduction From Me!
I am a 26 year old man from the midlands who is a father of three beautiful kids. I am a massive sport fan and play darts for two teams in my area. I am married (sorry ladies) and am happily enjoying life.
Anyway I have always enjoyed real ale and joined CAMRA at the age of 18. I frequented many beer festivals and found that my pallete liked dark, light, blonde, red and any other colour ale you can think off.
Due to financial hardship i decided i needed to find a way to reduce the cost of my ale and maybe BREW MY OWN. So i did the only sensible thing and consulted the world wide web.
I needed an extremely cheap way to dip my toe in the world of brewing so opted for a brubox which is essentially afermenting vessel/ barrell that is held in a box and the kit came with everything I needed (except water) to get brewing.
In a few days the parcell arrived and as soon as the kids were in bed I got started and within an hour my Brew was happily fermenting in the cupboard up stairs. That was a week ago and its still fermenting although this has slowed.
However I have well and truly caught the brewing bug and have ordered a refil kit (black country mild) for when this brew is bottled. And after some research on forums etc have decided to start stockpilling home made brews as i feel i can get a cheaper and nicer pint.
My plan is to start simple and work myh way in to All Grain Brewing (AG) so I have planned to brew the following...

My plan is to start simple and work myh way in to All Grain Brewing (AG) so I have planned to brew the following...
- Turbo Cider (TC)
- Mead
- Prohibition Coconut Rum Kit (for my OH need to keep her sweet)
- Black Country Mild
Now i realise to experienced brewers these are basic resipes but once i have the hang of the basics i will progress to making changes and adding to create my own unique brews and eventually start AG brewing.
Thats it for now I will keep you updated.
